Tyson Sene

About our new member....Tyson is his name. he is a black lab and the sweetest thing you'll ever meet. He's 1 year old and we got him from a friend who just couldn't handle him with having a new baby.
We love him and he fits right in. As you can see from the photo above Logan loves him too. Sometimes a bit too much but Tyson is great about Logan's jabs and kicks. He even lets Logan sit on his back! Tyson was an early Christmas present for Adam who has been wanting a second dog since the day we got Em'ly. So we are a bigger happier family!

Our tree

Christmas is right around the corner and our house has been ready since the day after Thanksgiving. Adam and I started that tradition, 5 years ago. Having Logan to help decorate and get excited about the tree makes it so much fun. He almost gets as excited as Adam and I.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays as much as we are!

Let it snow!

Last friday night our city held a huge festival downtown with a parade, "snow" on our main street and the opening of our annual Winter Wonderland with Santa, Mrs. Clause who hands out free cookies, pony rides, train rides, and all the local schools do winter performances on stage there.
Well, we didn't do the snow part because there was a huge line to slide down a tiny fake snow hill and we were starving!
So the next morning we were downtown to grab doughnuts and we see leftover snow and just had to take pictures. This is our big snow for the year! Kind of pathetic really...but hey we live in Florida what do we expect?! Although it got down to 51 today and tomorrow night it's suppose to drop to 33!!
I'll post more soon of all our latest adventures including our new family member.......

It's a dog not a baby!=)

Way behind!

We moved about a month 1/2 ago and I was in Cali for a week. We just 2 weeks ago got internet and I'm just now able to catch our blog up. First thing is Logan turned 2! He's had a party on each coast and partied with all his favorite characters. Along with having Halloween, Thanksgiving and now Christmas is around the corner!

Here are some pics from our trip to Cali and Logan as Woody for Halloween!

Logan with his two good friends Ryder and Dylan about to go trick-or-treating!

Logan loved Nash and Nash was great with him!
Going down the huge slide at the pumpkin patch.
My parents put together a really nice birthday party, he had so many presents and friends there. I was really blown away by how nice everything was. There was Woody on EVERYTHING! He also got a Woody doll from my parents which made his day. We stayed with Granny and had a such a lovely time hanging out with her. Logan had everyone on their toes!;)

Labor day = Family Day!

We spent all our 3 day weekend hanging out the 3 of us! On Labor Day we took Logan to this huge park surrounded by a lake and just let him explore and run wild! With us following behind of course. He had a great time chasing "Dinosaurs!" or "lizards" if you are a boring adult, with no sense of imigination and fun!

We got some great shots with my Hub's fancy phone!

Cute things said by a cute boy!

It seems as though Logan's vocabulary expands by the minute. I have been taking note of some of the funny/cute things he's been saying and had to share!

While helping me cook breakfast, he pushes his stool up to the counter and says, " Mom, I'm tall!"

Last week he had a bit of tummy thing and was going potty ...and well, he learned the word "diarrhea". Now whenever he thinks (which it's usually not) it's diarrhea, he yells very very loud,
"MOMMY! It's DIARRHEA!!" Which is so nice when we have guests!

A favorite that is said and done multiple times through out our day, is stripping down to nothing and running in the room yelling at the top of his lungs, "I'm naked!" Also very lovely for guests...

We are having so much fun keeping up with our smart little monster!

My wooden lifesaver

We went to Micheals this morning, I needed to grab some scrapbook materials. I was having the hardest time getting anything because Logan was shouting, "Lets go!" at the top of his lungs from the second we got in the door. Then we used the potty and on the way he spotted a water foutain, I let him have a drink and then put him in the cart. You would have thought I smacked him. He was screaming as loud as he could. I finally got him to calm down but was really considering never even finishing the album! When we walked past a $2.00 wooden doggy, he smiled and held it quietly the rest of the time in the store. Which of course was not long, c'mon I wasn't going to push my luck! I grabbed some mess free water colors to subsitute the acrylic the dog came with and away we went.

Happy ending is I got my scrapbook stuff and we ended up getting a very cool craft. We started the second we walked in the door and went till lunch. The dog is now in bed with him...he demanded such, of course!

I tried to get him to look at me but as you can see, he was deep in concentration!

I was surprised by him picking brown and black mostly, guess he wanted him to look like Em'y!

Spoiled but not rotten!

Grandma Epps found out Logan is in love with Toy Story and ever since we get packages in the mail jam packed full of Woody loot. Today we got a backpack, lunchbox, book and a woody hot wheels car! It was like Christmas for him. It was like Christmas for me watching and taking photos!

The pictures below we're taken right after he woke and the one above was a few hours later. As you can see he LOVES everything! We read the Woody book before bed tonight too. The entire time he opened everything he was saying, "Tank you!".."Tank you!" Then we called Ama Epps and he thanked her himself. He may be a tad spoiled but not a tad rotten!;)

Brothers...kinda

I had my best friend's little boy for the last week. He is almost exactly a year older then Logan. Which means they play, fight, play, fight all through the day..and night. I did the night time routine, packed his lunch for preschool and was up at 7am with them to get him ready for school. Made De-Lish breakfasts for them every morning! It got me excited for the day Logan will go to school (not soon). The boys had so much fun going to bed together and waking up together. They literally would roll out of bed and start playing. I'm sad for Logan that he went home but happy I can relax a bit.
Below are the boys playing in Logan's cool Woody bed tent Grandma and Grandpa Epps got him!

Logan can just roll out of bed now, I made his crib into a toddler bed! We love it! He hated not being able to get out. And he wanted to cuddle and lay with us. If we cuddled in our bed, he never wanted to leave. This way we read books, cuddle, say goodnight to everything and then he falls asleep. He also comes to our bed in the morning instead of crying in his crib for us to get him. Thats a major plus.=)

Half choke and half hug...thats some brother like love!

Woody!

Logan is in love with Woody, even before he saw the movies! Now that he's seen the movies he's over the moon for Toy Story anything. So my parents, like the sweeties they are, sent Logan new Woody shoes (I had been eyeing) and a toy story tent. He loves it! Thank you so much!! Muah!

He likes the tent on the ground best, he got pretty angry when we put on his bed! We got one good photo of it on his bed but the rest were not pretty.

First Haircut

Even though I love LOVE my Logan's curls..it was finally time for the first cut. I have been correcting people on him being a boy for the last 4 months and to top it off it's too hot here! I'm thinking of cutting off all my hair!! Although I took tons of photos during the haircut none of them turned out that great..unfortunatley he was moving too much. Good thing he made it out with hair at all! You can see in the bottom blurry pic Adam's hair is cut super short as well. I also got a trim and style but no one seems to notice. If I have time maybe I'll post a pic of all of us with our new do's!

To give you an idea of how long it was, check out this pic.

What the? Who is that kid? Hmmm....alright I can dig it.

Just like Dad!

Adam had to leave on a three week tour last week. He got Logan a guitar (or gee-tar as Logan says) before he left. Logan has not put it down! He praises himself after he plays for 30 seconds, he jumps saying "Yay!". It's very cute! He is doing great! He's favorite thing to say this month is, " I need... (whatever it is at the moment)." So he "needs" everything right now. He also can count to 3! He sometimes gets mixed up and says 3 first but he's learning! The other day he handed me a chalk yelling "a loo aloo " I had no idea what he was talking about. I finally looked at the chalk and saw it was blue. I then said, "Logan are you saying blue?" he of course replied "yea!" very nonchalantly. We tested him later by asking what color bunch of blue things were and he knew! It's amazing how fast they learn!

Below is Logan yelling, "yay!" for himself!
He is really concentrating...

Look Dad I can play with my mouth! Beat that!

"Wow!" is what he was saying. I forgot why.

Crazy rock star face!

And he's a real rock star...he plays naked!

Going Vegan!

Above was tonight's dinner and boy was it DE-LISH! Also completely Vegan!

Below is an open faced tosada I made for lunch. Totally Vegan! Thats our household theme right now.
Above was Tuesday nights dinner and below was Thursday nights dinner.

We found out my mother-in-law has stage 4 Ovarian cancer last week. Which of course really really ..really sucks! But we are all taking a very positive out look and looking at how we can beat this. We read an article from the John Hopkins Medical Assosication and they explain how meat, dairy and sugar feed cancer. Then her Dr. comfirmed this theory and now together, we have all become Vegans! She will of course be doing Chemo and even some new medicine to go along with it. Meanwhile eating a very healthy all organic Vegan diet and drinking lots of green tea. All we can do is find a way to be cause and this is mine...cooking.
I think we are feeling better too and I personally feel like I have more energy.
So this week we have had:

Monday: Eggplant Parmesean with rice mozzerella and quinoa pasta & homemade sauce

Tuesday: sweet potatoe wild rice cakes with a spring salad and green beans and red potatoes.

Wedneday: Stuffed Zucchini shells with an Almond bread crumb filling & red pepper sauce (a tad too hot. I added almond milk to cool it down.), brown rice and spring salad.

Thursday: Sweetpotatoe & Eggplant baked with Rosemerry and Thyme (next time no Thyme) with Quinoa and a potatoe carrot and beet salad and a spring salad.

Friday: Falafal stuffed Pitas! Sprouts, lettuce, tomatoes, avacadoe, Falafal (of course!) and homemade Vegan Tzatziki sauce. We also had red bean soup on the side. Doesn't really go with the Greek theme but it tasted great!

Let me know if anyone wants any of these recipes! I am going to post the up coming weeks menu very soon!

Eat well and take care!

Mom

Mom: ME..that is who I am. I celebrated Mothers day just Logan and I. We played chalk, blew bubbles, had a big yummy breakfast and went to the beach for sunset. I have always ALWAYS wanted to be a mom but never really knew how amazing it would be till I had Logan.
So Mothers day was about celebrating both of us because he made me... MOM.
I enjoy every second of everyday that I spend helping and teaching my son about life. He is an amazing person and one day he will be an amazing man!

He loves the water! He was yelling in excitement and splashing like crazy!
