Happy St. Patty's Day!

Why does time have to fly by?! I've made it a tradition to not only dress Log in green but take a picture on St. Patty's day. As you can see he's turning to a very big boy!

Wasn't he just the cutest little pumpkin? (5 months)
He had such cute curls! (18 months)
All boy! I had to beg him to take off his "Roman fighting" helmet for the picture.

Jog-a-thon!

Today was Logan's Jog-a-thon for his school. A portion of the money raised will go towards a Gym just for the preschool. Logan has been very excited about running with his class. We had a Walk-a-thon last Saturday for Human Rights that we walked in (Dogs included) so he got some practice. He ended up running 10 laps!

A funny side note we've gone to The Human Rights Walk-A-Thon every for the past 4 years and last year Logan got a little shirt from it. It fits just right now and it's his favorite shirt. He'll wake up and say, " I need to wear my white shirt." I have no idea why, maybe he is really passionate about Human Rights!=)

Taking a break for a bagel with his good friend Emily.

Winter?

It's been awhile since I've updated. Granny and my mom keep reminding me and I keep getting busy. But tonight both boys (husband & child) fell asleep and since my house is actually clean for a change, I could use this time to update!
First off let me start out by saying, I know the rest of you are probably having some kind of winter chill, Florida on the other hand can't make up it's mind. So it decided to start summer a tad early. The photos below were taken a few weeks ago, it got as high as 81 that day. It's been really lovely with a cool breeze but warm sun. All the flowers are blooming so it smells great too.
Tomorrow will be our third trip to the beach in the last four weeks. We go to the dog beach, so Tyson can swim. He LOVES it! The water is still a bit too cold for us but he is in the entire time.
Logan is doing very well at school. He knew most of his alphabet before school but now can say them straight through with no mistakes. His counting has improved, he even goes to 12 sometimes and tells me everyday that his teachers are his friends. =)
Logan is very much into Superheroes right now and his imagination is amazing. He makes up entire pretend games about being Superman and how he's saving a plane. He even acts as though he's carrying it and slowly sets it down. He's always shooting webs, lasers, using Jedi powers or trying to fly. He goes to school most days with a cape or a costume on. I love it and so does Adam. Adam watched all the old cartoons and Starwars with him, so he is very happy.
I have the pictures of him dressed up on my other camera, I'll upload them next time. Promise!

I love this photo because you can see all the beautiful sail boats out on the water.
Logan thought being buried was very fun.
Handsome boy!

Changes

Outside of his preschool
Running to the car with Dad.
All ready for school, outfit picked by Logan.

We have had allot of changes in our household in the last week. First would be that I started working this week. I'm an assistant/sales person for a veterinarian who has a vitamin mineral supplement for cats and dogs. She wrote a book, has been on many TV shows and writes for many magazines. She even has monthly columns in the top dog magazines. Her name is Dr. Deva Khalsa and our company is Deserving pets. I'm very excited and have been having allot of fun in the adult world. Who knew?!

Logan started preschool....a private preschool, not just any preschool Delphi Academy. My husband went there as a child as well as his sister and brother. Most of the teachers are the same. It's so clean, big, has lots of toys, games, a huge playground (Logan's favorite part) but most of all Logan LOVES it. His first day he wouldn't let us hold his hand walking in and actually happily waived us a goodbye while saying, "I love you BYE!!" I have to admit I was a little sad he was so happy to go. I was expecting them to call me to get him early on Monday thinking there's no way he can last till 12:00! No call and when I came into get him 10 mins early because I couldn't wait any longer. He was sitting crossed legged listening to a story. His response to seeing me, "I don't want to leave!" It's safe to say he is very happy there. As he should because this place is not cheap. I think it's worth every penny to know he is happy, healthy and well taken care of. These last few days with him at school and me at work has been longest we have ever been apart. It was tough on me at first but I just assure myself he is happy and then enjoy my coffee and work.

So that's our life right now. It's CRAZY but fun! Adam also starts school in the fall for architecture so that be fun add to our mix. Did I mention we have one car!=)

Our Christmas

Happy Holidays from The Sene Family 2010!
(I know late, but better then never.)

Our house Christmas Eve night...Santa Came and Em'ly snoozed right through it. I love how cozy she looks. Especially because it was FREEZING all of December for us. It got into the 20's! For us floridians that is COLD!
I don't know if you can tell from the pictures but all of our wrapping was Iron Man which was requested by Logan. I wanted to do cute snowmen and santas but he wanted Iron Man. At least it's gold and red! He became the master unwrapper but also enjoyed handing out gifts. We had a very sweet Christmas morning the three (Or five, if you count the dogs) of us and then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Sene's house. Where Logan was surprised with a bike.=)
This last year has been very interesting and a times a real test but we are such a great family life just keeps getting better! We've actually had allot of new and great changes but I'll have to update about that later, Promise!

Tyson Sene

About our new member....Tyson is his name. he is a black lab and the sweetest thing you'll ever meet. He's 1 year old and we got him from a friend who just couldn't handle him with having a new baby.
We love him and he fits right in. As you can see from the photo above Logan loves him too. Sometimes a bit too much but Tyson is great about Logan's jabs and kicks. He even lets Logan sit on his back! Tyson was an early Christmas present for Adam who has been wanting a second dog since the day we got Em'ly. So we are a bigger happier family!

Our tree

Christmas is right around the corner and our house has been ready since the day after Thanksgiving. Adam and I started that tradition, 5 years ago. Having Logan to help decorate and get excited about the tree makes it so much fun. He almost gets as excited as Adam and I.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays as much as we are!

Let it snow!

Last friday night our city held a huge festival downtown with a parade, "snow" on our main street and the opening of our annual Winter Wonderland with Santa, Mrs. Clause who hands out free cookies, pony rides, train rides, and all the local schools do winter performances on stage there.
Well, we didn't do the snow part because there was a huge line to slide down a tiny fake snow hill and we were starving!
So the next morning we were downtown to grab doughnuts and we see leftover snow and just had to take pictures. This is our big snow for the year! Kind of pathetic really...but hey we live in Florida what do we expect?! Although it got down to 51 today and tomorrow night it's suppose to drop to 33!!
I'll post more soon of all our latest adventures including our new family member.......

It's a dog not a baby!=)
